It’s battle, it’s warfare. All this RAIDING MEGAUPLOAD/SOPA/PIPA/ACTA/IPRED/punish the mom and her chilren to homeless-shit is nothing more, nothing less than the american entertainment industrys declaration of war against 2.000.000.000 internet users with tons of negative effects on civil rights.
Ametist Azordegan from the swedish newspaper Göteborgsposten has written a short, good, and easy to understand article about the war against 2.000.000.000 internet users, for a war it is.
Amethyst Azordegan: Power war has started (Google translated)
Ametist Azordegan: Maktkriget har startat (For the swedes, not translated, på svenska)
Rick Falkvinge the former party leader for the swedish Pirate Party have written a good post for TorrentFreak how it’s time we all start to defend the freedom of speech, for…it is without no doubt the case that ”the war” have negative effects on both the freedom of speech as well as other civil rights.
It’s Time To Go On The Offensive For Freedom Of Speech
”The copyright industry is tenacious and effective in using the “Daddy, I want a pony” tactics in legislation. They go at it again, and again, and again, and again. The result is a continuous erosion of our civil rights and an entrenchment of their entitlement to taxpayer funds.”
My personal reflections on all this?
I love music, so much that I even got myself a record player for vinyl-records, a good handbuilt one, because vinyl sounds so good. I buy a lots of vinyl second hand from places there the money goes to good things. I love music so much that I wish with my whole heart that the american entertainment industry will cease their war declaration on us all so one can go back and with good conscience start to buy new records and new movies again, which isn’t the case now when one thinks about how those money works once they left ones wallet.
I would tell the whole world the biggest fattest, baddest, ugliest lie there is if I write or say anything else than that the american entertainment industrys warfare in a very negative way have affected my lust for buying their products in new form or recommend them in new form to anyone or anybody at all.
Why?
It’s really simple. Keep their war machine rolling and growing is something that requires a steady supply of a very large amount of money. I am to old to be so naive that i thiink that american entertainment industry bosses born into a good olé american tradition of bullying anyone and anybode else who have different views and see things in different ways ever will rethink their actions or views on either the internet, the culture, or all the people in the whole world. I think it’s a pretty clear and sober assumption to assume that many dollars spent on their products is the same thing as many dollars spent on keeping their war machine rolling.
Have a nice evening
